Privacy Policy

PlayAny streams games you already own to your iPhone. To do that it has to know which accounts are yours and where to send the stream. This page says exactly what that means in terms of data: what is collected, why, who else sees it, and how to make it go away.

Who we are

PlayAny is operated by LEGAL ENTITY NAME, registered at REGISTERED ADDRESS. For anything in this policy you can reach a human at hello@playany.net.

What we collect

Your store accounts

When you connect Steam, Epic Games, GOG, Xbox Game Pass, Ubisoft Connect, EA, Battle.net or PlayStation, we receive an access token from that store and the list of titles the token gives us access to. We do not receive or store your password for any of those services. Tokens are stored encrypted and can be revoked by you at any time, from PlayAny or from the store itself.

Your sessions

To resume a game where you left it, we store save state and the title, device and timestamp of the last session. Save state is treated as your content, not ours.

Technical data

Every stream produces connection data: approximate location at city level so we can route you to the nearest edge, IP address, device model, operating system version, connection type, measured latency, bitrate and dropped frames. We use it to route the session, to see where quality is poor, and to stop abuse.

Account and billing

Your email address, and whether your subscription is active. Payments are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your card number.

What we do not collect

We do not record gameplay video or audio. We do not read your microphone or camera. We do not sell personal data to anyone, and we do not use your data to train models.

Why we are allowed to use it

Who else sees it

Only the companies we need to run the thing, and only the minimum each one needs:

The current list of processors is available on request at hello@playany.net. Data may be processed outside your country; where that happens we rely on TRANSFER MECHANISM, e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how it is used, and take it elsewhere in a portable format. You can delete your account from inside the app, and doing so removes your store connections and save state.

Write to hello@playany.net and we will answer within 30 days. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

PlayAny is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has an account, write to us and we will remove it.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Store tokens are encrypted at rest. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to keep the service running. No system is perfect, so if a breach affects you we will tell you and the relevant authority within the time the law allows.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app and by email before it takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.

Note for the operator. The pink fields above are facts only you can supply: legal entity, registered address, transfer mechanism and billing retention. This document describes the product honestly and follows the usual structure, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have counsel read it before launch, and make sure it matches the privacy labels you declare in App Store Connect.
